Aventurs is particularly proud of a significant mixed-use development project adjacent to St. Louis University. Late in 2005, we identified an interesting niche market for an urban-style housing and retail product that would attract students and their parents to the condominium market. After identifying the market niche, Aventurs initiated the effort to locate property near major universities in the Midwest. As a result of this initiative, we assembled the site and are now developing a significant mixed-use project including a bar/restaurant, retail shops, condominiums and parking.

 

Selling market-rate condos to students and their parents has now become a hot product that is attracting national press. This hot product that other developers are now rushing to the planning table is something that Aventurs identified and began creating two years ago.

 

Currently, development on the project is not complete. We are in the process of determining what retailers will occupy the space, we are improving the quality of our restaurant, Laclede Street Bar and Grill, and we are accessing the condominiums in order to maximize their potential.
